ChemCert has in place a third-party RTO agreement for the provision of services relating to the delivery of training, assessment and the production of
statements of attainment. Initial enrolment information will be passed on to the RTO responsible for providing these services to enable them to produce
all relevant documents.
Courses are currently delivered in Partnership with Chem Qual (RTO 70207). The certification is awarded by Chem Qual (RTO 70207).
AQF3 Chemical Accreditation course (also known as "Chemical Handling Certificate" or "Chemical ticket") focuses on upskilling chemical users on the industry’s
best practice methods and national standards.
Participants are provided with practical advice covering industry’s updates, local resistance and spraying issues to minimise chemical costs, limit spray
drift and improve spraying outcomes.
The AQF3 Accreditation includes the two units AHCCHM303 Prepare and Apply Chemicals and AHCCHM304 Transport and Store Chemicals.
It is nationally recognised for five years and enables the holder to legally use restricted chemicals unsupervised.
Successful completion of the course allows participants to apply for the ACUP and/or COL in Victoria and/or ACDC in Queensland (for the latter the unit Control Weeds is also needed).
For specific State legislation see the dedicated section of the website.
If you have a current and valid AQF3 accreditation (AHCCHM303 Prepare and Apply Chemicals and AHCCHM304 Transport and Store Chemicals, or AHCCHM303A Prepare and Apply Chemicals and AHCCHM304A Transport, Handle and Store Chemicals) from ChemCert or another training organisation or if your accreditation expired less than 6 months ago, you are considered to be a refresher student.
If you have completed your previous AQF3 with another training company, you will need to bring along your card or statement of attainment to show the trainer on the day of the course.
If this is the first time you are doing the AQF3 Chemical Accreditation course or your accreditation has exceeded the 6 months of expiration, you are considered
to be an initial student.
The aim of this course is to raise awareness of the potential hazards and risks associated with pesticide use and to provide practical information with regards to safe chemical handling and application. In addition this course introduces pesticide users to the principles of calibration.
