ChemCert provides training resources for the delivery of the national farm chemical health and safety training program which is now part of the Agricultural and Horticultural Industry skills training package.
ChemCert’s mission is: "To unite industry groups to ensure best practice across all rural and commercial users of herbicides and pesticides (agricultural and veterinary chemicals), through innovative training and accreditation programs."
In NSW over 75,000 people have been trained as part of this self-funded rural industry initiative.
The ChemCert program has been described as the most successful and important training program ever introduced by rural Australia. It proves that barriers to rural participation in training programs can be overcome if courses are relevantly focussed on providing real, workable solutions and practical hands on advice.
ChemCert is very concerned about protecting the environment, which is why we strive to deliver such high quality courses to chemical users. ChemCert is focussed on protecting the environment and people’s personal safety as well as ensuring the economic viability of the food and fibre production industry.
