Richard Way is the current Chairman of ChemCert (SA) Incorporated ChemCert and Australia Incorporated. Richard has been on the ChemCert (SA) Board for over 10 years. Prior to that Richard served in several positions in the South Australia Farmers Federation, including as the Chairman of their Community Services Committee.
The ChemCert (SA) Board manages the ChemCert training program in South Australia and accredits between 1500 and 2000 chemical users each year.
As Chairman of ChemCert (SA), Richard has had extensive experience in negotiating with government departments and assisting in developing policies. Richard was instrumental in developing the regulations which governed the introduction and control of Genetically Modified Organisms in South Australia. Richard is also responsible for liaising with key stakeholders in the industry.
Richard has been actively involved in many local and state level agricultural organisations including the YP Alkaline Soils Group, the Agricultural Bureau and the YP Rural Counselling Service.
Richard has completed a TAFE course in Farm Business Management and lives in Port Vincent, South Australia where he runs a mixed grain and sheep enterprise
