Course Program

ChemCert Chemical Risk Management AQF4 is for those managers and supervisors who take responsibility for developing and implementing pest management programs and chemical use strategies in workplaces or students who want to pursue employment as supervisors and need to attain the higher level Accreditation than the AQF3. 

It includes the units AHCCHM401 Develop procedures to minimise risks in the use of chemicals and AHCCHM402 Plan and implement a chemical use program.

Attainment of this qualification has the benefits of:

Online Course

Complete the online course at your own pace. You can access it anytime and anywhere, but still get the support of an expert ChemCert trainer when you need it. For face to face, this course is available as an in-house course only. Please enquire if you would like to book (must have 6 or more students for it to run).
Time Approximately 25 hours work, at student own pace (depending on student's prior knowledge and skills).

Up to 3 months to complete the course from enrolment commencement.


Requires students to have attained the AQF3 units AHCCHM303A Prepare and Apply Chemicals and AHCCHM304A Transport, handle and Store Chemicals or the newer units AHCCHM303 Prepare and Apply Chemicals and AHCCHM304 Transport and Store Chemicals

Age / Learning Requirements

We require all students to be a minimum of 16 years old and to have a reading level of a year 10 student. If you are unsure of your ability to complete the course we recommend completing our Learning, Literacy and Numeracy Quiz (click here to begin)

The student will also need a workplace that they have access to as some questions require a current workplace to answer. They will also need at least 3 Chemical labels and SDSs that they use in the workplace.
